SHORT STORY: Tess Fitzmaurice led the women's cross country team with a first-place finish at the RPI Harvest Classic.
Jed Elmbarki led the men with a fourth-place finish. Overall, the women won the race as a team and the men finished second, Friday afternoon.

- Four of the women's scorers finished in the top 10, including two in the top five.
- Two of the men's scorers earned top-10 finishes and a third finished in the top 15.
- The women's scoring gap was 1:13.7.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The women competed first with graduate student Tess Fitzmaurice earning a first-place finish running the race in just over 18 minutes.
- Junior Skyler Smith was not far behind. Running the 5k in 18:23.3, she earned a third-place finish.
- For the second consecutive race, senior Katie Iocca and junior Alondra Cruz-Delgado crossed the finish line after one another. Iocca grabbed the sixth-place finish in 18:33.3 while Cruz-Delgado finished just over a second later in 18:34.6.
- Junior Scarlett Rose rounded out the women's scorers in 14th place.
- Junior Jed Elmbarki (fourth) and graduate student Tom Ragone (eighth) led the men's team with top-10 finishes. The junior ran the men's 8k in 25:56.3 and Ragone finished in 26:15.5.
- Senior transfer Chris Bertola earned a 14th-place finish in 26:46.7.
- Senior Jared Rogalski (25th, 27:01.9) and freshman Chris Jernigan (30th, 27:15.5) rounded out the men's scorers.
