Men Finish Seventh at America East Cross Country Championship

COURSE: 8k - Hard'Ack Recreation Area - St Albans, Vt.

FINISH: 7th - 160 points - out of nine teams (RESULTS)

SHORT STORY: Jed Elmbarki led the team with a top 20 finish as the Great Danes finished seventh at the America East Championship, Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Leading the Great Danes for his fourth time in five races, Elmbarki ran the 8k course in 24:53.50. This was an improvement by over 30 seconds from his time at the Fall Foliage Invitational on October 20.
Chris Bertola (25:10.33) and Jared Rogalski (25:23.10) followed with a 26th- and 32nd-place finish, respectively.
Tom Ragone (25:35.66) and Nikolas Christian (26:03.73) rounded out the Great Dane scorers.
As a team, UAlbany finished seventh with 160 points, just three points behind Vermont.
The scoring gap was 56.4 seconds.

NEXT: The Great Danes will continue the postseason at the NCAA Regionals in New Hampshire.
