BOSTON - The University at Albany women's track and field program swept the America East Conference's weekly awards, announced Tuesday.
Junior
Toni Galloway was named the Track Athlete of the Week while freshman
Miyanah Robinson was named both the Field Athlete and Rookie of the Week. This is Galloway's third award of the 2024-25 season and Robinson's first.
Galloway continued to improve her time with a wind-aided 13.25 (2.1) for sixth-place in the 100m hurdles at the prestigious Pepsi Florida Relays. Her time is 19th in the NCAA and first in the conference.
Miyanah Robinson took first place at the UConn Dog Fight Invite clearing 1.77m in the high jump. She jumped to first place in the conference and is currently ranked 30th in the nation (fifth among all freshmen).
The UAlbany women's track and field now has 11 weekly awards throughout the 2024-25 season. Overall, the track and field teams have earned 24 weekly awards in 2024-25 (including the men's awards from this week).
The Great Danes will continue their outdoor schedule at RPI's Under the Lights competition (Apr. 10-11) and Providence's Friar Invitational (Apr. 11).
