BOSTON - The University at Albany women's track and field program swept the America East Conference's weekly awards, announced Tuesday.

Toni Galloway was named the Track Athlete of the Week while freshman
Lalenii Grant was named both the Field Athlete and Rookie of the Week. This is Galloway's second award of the 2024-25 season and Grant's first.
Galloway broke the UAlbany program record with a 100m hurdle race in 13.38 at the UCF Black and Gold Invitational. She is currently ranked eighth nationally and second in the East region with her season-opening time.
Lalenii Grant threw the freshman record during her first collegiate competition. With a 52.37m throw in the discus, she is now the second-best in program history. After just one collegiate meet, she is ranked seventh in the East region and 27th nationally.
The UAlbany women's track and field now has nine weekly awards throughout the 2024-25 season. Overall, the track and field teams have earned 19 weekly awards in 2024-25 (including the men's awards from this week).
After taking a week off, the track and field programs will return to competition with two meets in one weekend - the Pepsi Florida Relays (April 4-5) and the UConn Dog Fight Invite (Apr. 5).
