BOSTON – University at Albany junior attack man
Silas Richmond has been named the America East Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday morning. It is the fourth time Richmond has collected the award this season.
Â
Richmond was the catalyst of the UAlbany offense that put on a strong performance on Saturday against Vermont. The Great Danes raced out to a 5-0 lead on the road, with Richmond contributing two of the early goals. The lead was enough for the team to hold the rest of the game for a big road victory. Richmond finished with a game-high five goals and seven points, adding one ground ball in the win.
Â
Richmond has collected America East honors on three other occasions this season: April 24, March 3, and March 31.
Â
With the win at Vermont, the Great Danes finished up their regular season travel. Two games remain on the schedule, both at Casey Stadium. UAlbany is set to host Yale this Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in the team's Spring Stomp game before returning on Saturday, March 26 for Senior Day against NJIT.
