SHORT STORY: Toni Galloway (100mH) and Lalenii Grant (discus) highlighted the Great Danes' performance with wins in their respective events.

KEY NOTES

• Toni Galloway broke the UAlbany program record to win the 100m hurdles in 13.38. She earned a personal record in the preliminary round before improving her time just a couple of hours later for the program record.
• Lalenii Grant broke the Great Danes' freshman record and won the discus with a 52.37-meter throw. She is now second in program history behind current Director of Operations Venique (Harris) Brown.
• Beatriz Mora Herencia broke a second freshman record in Florida for a second-place finish in the javelin throw. Overall, she is second in program history behind Jewel Collins ('24), the previous owner of the freshman record.
• Running for a personal record, Brinesha Derrick-Bain tallied the ninth-fastest 400m hurdle time with a sixth-place finish.
• The Great Danes had three hurdlers in the finals of the 100m hurdles. In addition to Galloway's first-place finish, Kate Del Gandio finished fifth and Derrick-Bain finished sixth with a personal record.
• Overall, UAlbany tallied five top-three finishes - Galloway (100mH), Grant (discus), Mora Herencia (javelin), Katie Iocca (2k steeplechase), Stephanie Green (hammer).
