West Hartford, Conn. ? Laura Guigli netted her first two goals of the season to propel Hartford to a 4-0 victory over the University at Albany in women's soccer action at Alumni Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 12. Trailing by just one goal at halftime, the Great Danes surrendered three goals in a span of 9:38 over the final 45 minutes of play.

            Hartford (6-4-4, AE 3-1-1) netted the first goal of the match in the ninth minute when Guigli took a pass from Becky Flowers and tapped the ball past UAlbany goalkeeper Amber Maisonet to the bottom left corner of the net. Flowers was credited with the assist on the play.

            After Guigli doubled the Hartford lead in the 56th minute, Kacey Busque set up two straight goals on indirect kicks. Flowers headed in the Hawks' third goal in the 61st minute, and Hamilton headed home the fourth score three minutes later.

            UAlbany's Maisonet faced 16 shots and made six saves in the losing effort. Hartford's Lauren Brodeur was credited with the victory. She faced one shot and did not record a save. Brodeur was relieved by Becky Alaimo, who did not face any shots, in the 76th minute.

UAlbany (3-13-0, AE 1-3-0) continues its America East slate when it hosts Stony Brook on Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m.
