Women’s Soccer Returns Home for Halloween Spooktakular Match

ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany women's soccer program (3-11-1, 2-4-1 America East) will get to take on the Binghamton Bearcats (6-5-4, 3-2-2 America East) this week on the home turf. It will be the teams Halloween Spooktacular and all fans are encouraged to come dressed in costume with candy available at the marketing table throughout the match

Last Time Out:
The Great Danes are coming off a two-game road trip against Vermont and Maine where they fell short for both matches.
So far this season UAlbany has scored 12 goals in 15 matches averaging 0.80 goals per game while recording 118 shots, 51 on goal, for an average of 7.9 shots per game and 0.432 shots on goal percentage.

Selma Elverum and Casey Stowell continue to lead the team with five points, each from two goals and one assist. Elverum has a total of 19 shots, nine on goal for a 0.474 shots on goal percentage. Stowell has 13 total shots, five on goal for a 0.385 shots on goal percentage. Alexis Gordon continues to lead the field players in minutes with a total of 1209 played this season.
Emily Dorfman continues to lead in minutes for keepers with 1336:16 played. Dorfman has a total of 129 saves in 15 matches, giving her a 0.796 save percentage.
 
Looking at Binghamton:
The Bearcats will enter Thursday's match coming off a 3-3 tie against the University of Massachusetts Lowell on Sunday, October 27th. Binghamton has scored 25 times while surrendering 23 goals to their opponents while taking 183 shots, 88 on goal, for an average of 12.2 shots per game and 0.481 shots on goal percentage. They have received a total of 15 yellow cards with one red card thus far.

Hannah Mimas is the Bearcats leading scorer have recorded seven goals and eight assists for 22 points off 49 shots, 24 on goal, for a 0.490 shots on goal percentage. Midfielder Anna Buckwalter is right behind Mimas with 13 points from five goals and three assists.

Kaitlyn Williams has been the teams predominant keeper in the net having a total of 900 minutes in goal over the 15 matches where she has recorded 28 saves, and 12 goals allowed for a 1.20 goals against average and 0.700 save percentage. Rebecca Kessler is right behind Williams with a total of 450 minutes in goal where she has recorded 18 saves, and 11 goals allowed for a 2.20 goals against average and 0.621 save percentage.

In UAlbany's last match against Binghamton back on September 28, 2023, the Great Danes and Bearcats ended the match in a 2-2 tie.
