EDISON, N.J. – University at Albany freshman golfer Madison Kuratani has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's (MAAC) Women's Golfer of the Week. It is the second time this season Kuratani has collected the honor, also winning on March 19.
 
Kuratani had a strong weekend at the Rutgers Invitational, pacing the Great Danes with a fifth place (tied) finish. She posted rounds of +7, +5, and even to finish at +12 overall, better than any other MAAC golfer in the field. Her efforts boosted UAlbany to a fifth place team finish out of 17 competing schools.
 
The Great Danes are set to travel to Florida next week to defend their MAAC Championship title. The first round of the 2025 MAAC Championship is set for Thursday, April 17 with action running until Saturday, April 19.
