Head Coach Colleen Cashman: "Well, we knew going into this that it would be a battle! I think that's exactly what we got. Until the end. Unfortunately, we got off to a bad first round and had to play catch-up from there. Friday's round was awesome. We had it -4 for at least nine holes, which was a lot of fun to watch. The team really had it rolling. Seeing all the red on the leaderboard was fun. Today we knew we would have to play some of our best golf in order to catch Quinnipiac. We didn't get off to the start we wanted to for the first nine holes, but for our last nine holes, we played it four under par for the counting four players. Too bad though, as it was a little too late. Conditions being windy today were tough and certainly worked against us in order to go super low. Overall, second place isn't first, but it's still pretty dang good. We had three under par scores and an even par score this tournament. We made 39 birdies for the week, which was amazing. We shot a season best score of +2 in round two. There were certainly many things to be proud of this week. And being such a young team, it will be exciting to have them all back next year to hopefully climb back up to the top once again!"
