Short Story: The University at Albany women's rowing team, fresh off the program's first ever competition, returned to action right up the Northway in the New York State Collegiate Championships in Saratoga. The Great Danes had two boats competing – the Varsity 4+ and the Frosh/Novice 8+. The Varsity 4+ had a strong 2
nd place showing in the heat before finish 3
rd in the final behind Syracuse and Marist, defeating Binghamton, Colgate, and Union. The Frosh/Novice 8+ boat finished in 6
th place in their lone race of the day.

About Saratoga Regattas
Home to nationally recognized competitions, Saratoga is a prime destination for rowers.
Each spring, Saratoga Regattas plays host to state and national competitions from NYS Collegiate and High School Championships to the Saratoga Invitational. Each fall, the Head of the Fish Regatta brings athletes, coaches, parents, and spectators from around the country.
Outside the NCAA league championships, the NYS Collegiate Championship is a regional championship for the collegiate crews of New York.
