How it Happened:
- UAlbany started the scoring early with a quick goal from Daniel Kesselring.
- Two minutes later, Silas Richmond netted a goal of his own to put the Great Danes ahead 2-0.
- Jackson Palumb kept the scoring going with a goal with 6:25 left in the first to push the lead to 3-0.
- UMass got on the board when Trace Hogan scored late in the first.
- UAlbany countered with a goal by Brendan O'Keefe on a nice helper from Alex Pfeiffer.
- As the first quarter expired, Ryan Doherty found the back of the net to make it 5-1 to end the first.
- Charles Kurtz of UMass was able to score two minutes into the second quarter to make it 5-2.
- With 5:43 left in the half, Pfeiffer scored to put UAlbany up 6-2.
- In the final minute of the half, Palumb netted his second of the game to make it 7-2 heading into the locker room.
- To start the second half, UMass' Aiden Drunsic found the back of the net just under two minutes in.
- The Minutemen kept the momentum going when Drunsic scored his second goal to cut the lead down to three midway through.
- With five minutes left in the third, Tyler Clayton of UMass scored on an assist from Zach Auble to make it 7-5.
- With 10:57 remaining in the game, UMass' Matthew Cargiulo scored to make it a one goal game.
- The Great Danes quickly countered when Richmond scored his second of the day to make the score 8-6.
- Less than 20 seconds later, UMass once again made it a one goal game thanks to a Robbie Granara goal.
- With eight minutes to go, Kurtz scored his second for the Minutemen and tied the game at eight a piece.
- Richmond scored his third goal of the day with 6:55 left to put UAlbany up 9-8.
- Less than a minute later, UMass tied it up once again on a goal from John Krisch.
- With 1:50 remaining, Hogan scored his second of the game to give UMass its first lead of the day at 10-9.
