BOSTON – The University at Albany men's soccer team had a total of three players earn America East end-of-season awards following the conclusion of the 2024 regular season.
 
Forward Ander Castillo and Midfielder Timo Jansen were both named First Team All-America East and All-Academic honorees while Jordan Shullenberger earned a spot on the All-Rookie Team.

A Bilbao, Spain native, Castillo led the America East with 60 shots and 27 shots on goal while finishing second in the conference with eight goals and tied for third in points alongside teammate Time Jansen with 19. This is the second season since transferring in from Medaille before the 2023 season in which Castillo has led the Great Danes in points. He finished out the season having appeared in 17 games with 10 starts and 1,020 total minutes. In addition, Castillo earned a spot on the All-Academic team with a 3.58 GPA while studying Business Administration.  
Jansen wraps up his junior season having tied for the most points on the team alongside Castillo with 19 while finishing third in the America East with five assists and tied for third with seven goals and 19 points. In his second year as a Great Dane, after transferring into UAlbany from Santa Barbara CC in 2022, this season Jansen accumulated a total of 27 shots with 18 on goal with two game-winning goals. He started in all 18 games with 1,492 total minutes. Jansen earned his spot on the All-Conference team while studying Business Administration and earning a 3.92 grade point average.
 
A freshman midfielder out of Waterbury, Vermont, Shullenberger was named to the all-rookie team after playing in all 18 games for the Great Danes this season with a total of nine starts and 795 minutes in his first collegiate season.
