ALBANY, N.Y. – University at Albany Director of Athletics, Mark Benson, has announced five senior staff promotions. Cara White has been elevated to deputy athletic director for administration and will continue to serve as the department's senior woman administrator, Travis Wilson has been elevated to senior associate athletic director for internal operations, Leslie Moore has been elevated to senior associate athletic director for facilities and event management, Melissa Peach has been elevated to senior associate athletic director for compliance, and Catie Campbell has been elevated to senior associate athletic director for academic services.

"Cara, Travis, Melissa, Leslie and Catie each perform outstanding work in their respective areas," said Benson. "Collectively they serve on our senior staff alongside Vic Cegles and Mike McKercher, representing the best interests of our student-athletes, coaches, and staff."Â

Benson added "These new titles are more reflective of their level of responsibility within our department. They each play an integral role in helping us support our student-athletes to be 'Great Leaders, Great Champions, and Great Danes.'"Â

As deputy athletic director for administration, White will oversee all diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and will ensure the department continues to meet Title IX standards. She will serve as the sport supervisor for men's lacrosse, softball, women's basketball, women's soccer, and field hockey, while also overseeing the sports medicine and strength and conditioning departments. She currently represents UAlbany as a member of the America East administration group and the America East CCC committee and serves as the department's senior woman administrator.

As senior associate athletic director for internal operations, Wilson will oversee the budget for the entire athletic department. He'll handle all procurement for the department, oversee all aspects of accounting, and will work as a liaison between the department and the University's human resources department. In addition, he will work closely with the football team in regard to all travel aspects and will be responsible for all departmental contracts.

As senior associate athletic director for facilities and event management, Moore will provide strategic direction on capital projects, facility maintenance, and gameday operations, while also managing the scheduling of all athletic facilities including external group rentals. She will serve as the sport supervisor for UAlbany's volleyball and baseball programs.

As senior associate athletic director for compliance, Peach will oversee all facets of compliance as it relates to NCAA, conference, and University rules and regulations for UAlbany's 19 Division I sports and will manage the department's policies and procedures. She serves as the liaison to financial aid and student accounts, admissions, residential life, community standards, and enterprise risk management and compliance. Peach also works closely with the office of general counsel and serves as a sport supervisor for UAlbany's women's golf team.

As senior associate athletic director for academic services, Campbell will oversee all facets of academic services as it relates to NCAA academic eligibility, progress towards degrees, graduation of student athletes, and will oversee UAlbany's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). She will also serve as a member of the athletic department's leadership team.
