Finished sixth in the America East, first on the team, in kills per set (3.11) … added a top-six number, and first on the team, with 3.41 points per set … tied for second in the conference’s most aces in an individual match with six - a number that earned the most in a three-set match … All-Tournament - Central Michigan’s Chippewa Invitational (Sept. 1-2) … saw time in all but one match on the season (24) … topped her 2022 kills season-high at eight different matches … compiled a career-high 21 kills against Seattle U (Sept. 16) … totaled 15 matches with at least 10 kills … served a career-high six aces against Siena (Sept. 20) … notched a career-high 11 digs at four different matches, one of which was a three-set match at UMBC (Nov. 12) … overall totaled 261 kills, 151 digs, 17 service aces, and 17.0 blocks for 286.5 points and a .182 hitting percentage.

2022

America East Academic Honor Roll ... started 10 of 17 matches played … tallied season-high 13 kills in a five-set match (10/18) … totaled 12 kills for a three-set season-high (9/2) and 11 kills for a four-set season-high (10/23) … added a career-high four blocks against Bryant (10/23) … notched four double-digit kill matches … overall compiled 102 kills, 114.5 points, 23 blocks with 23 digs, two assists, and one ace.

Shynelle is a stellar athlete coming to the Great Danes from north of the border. From the first time we saw her in action we knew she had a six-rotation presence and could help us offensively and defensively. We are looking forward to having someone with her experience in our gym.
