- Meghan “Meg” Anne Huerter is the daughter of Erin and Thomas Huerter
- Has two older brothers, Thomas Jr and Kevin, and one younger sister, Jillian
- Born in Halfmoon, New York
- Calls Clifton Park, New York home
- Intends to major in business
- Enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog
- All three of her siblings have played or are currently playing college basketball - Thomas Jr (Siena, 2019), Kevin (Maryland, 2019), and Jillian (Rutgers, 2027)
- Her father, Thomas Huerter, played basketball at Siena
- Brother, Kevin, currently plays in the NBA for the Sacramento Kings after being a first round pick in the 2018 NBA Draft
- Picked the number 23 because she has worn it since she was young
- Coming from a long line of basketball players, her entire family is involved in the sport in one way or another. The family built, owns, and runs the Impact Athletic Center in Halfmoon, N.Y.

The family environment that is established throughout athletics and the university, the coaches on the women’s basketball and how they push their players to success, the team dynamic that is around UAlbany women’s basketball, and the area is such a great basketball area to grow up in that I wanted to come back

Mullen on Huerter
We are excited to welcome Meghan back home to the Capital Region and to the Great Dane family. Meghan is a local talent; she is a pure shooter who has the ability to impact the game in a variety of ways. She is a true student of the game, and her high basketball IQ will make the players around her better.
