Evan Davis joined the University at Albany as an Equipment Manager in the fall of 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in athletic equipment management and operations.
A graduate of Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management, Davis has honed his expertise in logistics, communication, and servant leadership through various roles across collegiate and professional sports.
Before joining UAlbany, Davis served as Head Equipment Manager for the Albany Firebirds Arena Football team, overseeing comprehensive equipment-related operations and assisting the Firebirds to the Arena Bowl in July of 2022. At Grand Canyon University, he was appointed the Head Equipment Manager for the men's and women's ice hockey teams. Davis took part in spearheading the renovation of locker room and weight room facilities while ensuring high standards for gear distribution and maintenance. Additionally, Davis contributed to the gameday operations sector for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League for three seasons, excelling in event logistics and guest services.
Davis also spent time with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Milwaukee Brewers, and the San Francisco Giants - spanning across several different seasons, further enriching his understanding of athletic event coordination and fan engagement.
Davis’s commitment to leadership and innovation in sports earned him recognition in Grand Canyon University’s Colangelo College of Business Hall of Fame and was awarded the Athletic Leadership Scholarship for 2023-24. His expertise, passion for athletics, and dedication to excellence position him as a vital asset to the UAlbany equipment room and the university's athletic community.
