KEY STATS
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • GW's Ashley Corpuz tallied the first hit of the game with a two-run homer in the bottom of the first.
  • The Great Danes answered and tied the score in the top of the second.
  • Mary Kate Murray and Victoria Vilarchao hit back-to-back singles.
  • After junior Deanna Grahek advanced Murray and Vilarchao a base, Vanessa Meyers singled up the middle to drive in Murray and Christie Collins, who came in to pinch-run for Vilarchao.
  • GW took a one-run lead in the bottom of the third.
  • UAlbany strung together three consecutive singles - Charlotte Lomb, Sara Scozzari, and Caitlyn Frederick - to load the bases in the top of the fifth. Still, all three were left stranded as a new pitcher entered the circle and struck out the following two batters.
  • The Revs remained scoreless through the fifth and sixth innings.
  • George Washington walked Meyers and Scozzari but the Great Danes were unable to take advantage and the Revolutionaries won, 3-2.
