SHORT STORY: The Great Danes fought against the Bearcats in their first conference match of the season.

COACH JOSH PICKARD: "Tonight was a tough outing. The team started a bit flat and we had trouble getting out of that rut. I was very happy with the players that were able to come off the bench and make some plays for us. We're back in the gym tomorrow to work at getting better."

  • A back-and-forth battle was brewing early in the second set as UAlbany kept the score tight at 6-6 before a six-point scoring run got the Bearcats going.
  • Binghamton laid the foundation for a set two victory after two more scoring runs and ended the set, 25-12.
  • Strong offensive efforts by middle blocker Sabrina Kinkaid and a key block by Karman made for a promising start in set three.

  • Woroniuk rallied for five more kills trying to cut the Bearcats lead but Binghamton stayed strong and ended the set, 25-15. This completed the match, 3-0.
