Key Stat Lines
Head Coach Scott Marr: "Certainly a great game to watch. Exciting, down to the last second. We're certainly disappointed in some of our execution. I thought our effort was great and we stayed in the game, but our execution wasn't as sharp as it has been the last couple of games and it cost us."

How it Happened:
  • Bryant took the early 1-0 lead 15 seconds into the game on a goal from Kevin Groeninger, his 16th of the season.
  • Daniel Kesselring tied the game for the Great Danes with 6:24 remaining in the first quarter. Sprinting out from the sidelines, Kesselring beat his defender one-on-one to take it into the lane and score.
  • The Bulldogs responded on their next possession to take a 2-1 lead. Groeninger scored his second of the day with just four seconds remaining on the shot clock. He completed the hat trick before the end of the first quarter, scoring on a tough angle to push the score to 3-1 with just over two minutes on the clock.
  • Joey Carino stopped the bleeding for the Great Danes, scoring his fourth of the season with 1:04 on the clock. Bryant was able to push the lead back to two goals before the first quarter expired though, as Timmy Hackett found the back of the net for his 12th of the year.
  • Bryant made it 5-2 early in the second on Dawson Reilly's first of the game.
  • Jake Piseno got the bench going shortly after scoring his eighth of the year with the long pole, blasting one past the keeper on a wide-open fast break. Amos Whitcomb scored a minute later to bring the score to within a single goal at 5-4.
  • The lead went back to two goals with 4:19 remaining in the first half on a Bryant goal scored by Aidan Goltz.
  • The freshman Ryan Doherty notched his first of the game last in the second quarter after picking up a beautiful feed in the lane from Graydon Hogg, making it 6-5.
  • The Bulldogs took the 6-5 advantage into the locker room at the half. UAlbany finished the first half with 15 shots on goal to Bryant's 10. The Bulldogs coughed the ball up 12 times, the Great Danes eight times. UAlbany also led in faceoffs, winning 7-12.
  • The first score of the second half came on a Sports Center Top 10 level goal for the Great Danes while a man up. Silas Richmond made a pass behind his back to Amos Whitcomb, who scored underhanded in a single fluid motion to tie the game at 6-6.
  • Bryant's first goal of the second half came with 7:34 remaining in the third quarter from the stick of Mason Drouin, 7-6.
  • After an unforced turnover from the Great Danes, Bryant pushed the lead to 8-6 on another goal from Reilly with 4:35 on the clock.
  • Jackson Palumb, the defending America East Rookie of the Week, scored his first of the night after coming from behind the net and drawing a penalty with 3:23 remaining in the third. The Bulldogs wasted no time responding though, pushing the lead back to two goals two minutes later on Drouin's second of the day.
  • The Bulldogs made it a three-goal game with just 3.2 seconds remaining in the third quarter on a goal from Jack Lonsinger.
  • After Bryant's goal with 3.2 seconds remaining, Regan Endres shot the ball out to Darien LaPietro on the ensuing faceoff. LaPietro shot it from midfield as time expired, bouncing it in for the score to bring the game to bring UAlbany back within two.
  • Aidan Goltz put Bryant back up three goals 41 seconds into the final quarter, 11-8.
  • Silas Richmond got in on the scoring with 11:52 remaining, scoring behind the back on a feed from Doherty to make it 11-9.
  • Richmond scored his second of the night three minutes later, taking a feed across the crease from Amos Whitcomb to make it 11-10.
  • Bryant's Groeninger scored his fourth of the night with 6:24 remaining to push the lead back to two goals, 12-10.
  • Daniel Kesselring scored his second of the night on what was essentially an empty net after Jackson Palumb scooped up the loose ball behind the crease and passed it into the lane. Palummb and Graydon Hogg forced the turnover from the Bryant keeper, laying big hits behind the goal.
  • The Great Danes tied the game with 1:51 remaining on another goal from Jackson Palumb.
  • The Bulldogs scored the game-winner with under five seconds remaining on a rocket from Groeninger.
