SHORT STORY: The Great Danes grabbed a set-win but fell to New Hampshire, 3-1, Friday night.
COACH JOSH PICKARD: "We had some really good things tonight and some things we need to work on. I'm proud of the amount of kills we were able to generate, as well as our digs. Unfortunately, we committed a few too many errors and it was too much to come back from."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Great Danes tallied the first point of the match but it was the Wildcats earning an early 6-1 lead.
- UAlbany closed the scoring gap to 17-15 with five unanswered points.
- New Hampshire tallied a third scoring run before taking the first set, 25-19.
- After the Wildcats took the first point of the second set, the Great Danes notched four-straight points.
- The teams continued to trade points but UAlbany's early set run proved to be the difference as the Great Danes won the second set, 25-23.
- Once again, UAlbany opened the third set with a 4-1 scoring run.
- New Hampshire tied the score at five and it was the second of 25 ties in the third.
- After 15 lead changes in the third set alone, the Wildcats took the set, 34-32.
- The back-and-forth play continued in the early portions of what proved to be the final set.
- New Hampshire took a 16-11 lead after they added four-straight points.
- The Great Danes answered with a 3-0 scoring run but the Wildcats built to a 22-18 advantage before taking the set, 25-20.
NEXT: UAlbany will close the weekend at home, hosting NJIT on Sunday (October 2) at 4 pm.
