HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wendi Hammond tallied her first strikeout of the game with the second batter in the first inning.
- With Caitlyn Mitros on third, Morgan Petty knocked a sacrifice fly into center field to drive in the first run of the game.
- Seeing four batters in the second, the Great Danes caught the runner stealing to leave zero on base and head to the dugout.
- In her first at-bat on her home field, Christie Collins hit a single and stole a base in the second but was left on base.
- UAlbany grabbed three-straight outs in the third, including two strikeouts from Hammond.
- Petty and Katie Falotico each grabbed a single but were left stranded at the close of the third inning.
- The Great Danes went 1-2-3 in the following three innings, the fourth, fifth, and sixth.
- Pinch-running for Maddi Petrella, Lex Frederick scored UAlbany's second run on a passed ball in the bottom of the sixth.
- UAlbany held the shutout, leaving one Black Knight on base in the final inning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Once again, the Black Knights tallied a single in the first inning but the Great Danes' pitcher, freshman Kate Powers, struck out the final batter to send UAlbany to the dugout for the first time in game two.
- After Caitlyn Mitros hit a pop fly, Alexis Phillips tallied her first hit of the game with a single to left field.
- With Phillips on third and Katie Falotico on second, Petrella tallied her first hit to drive in two runs and give the Great Danes a 2-0 lead in the first inning.
- The Black Knights tied the score in the second inning.
- Phillips notched her triple in the bottom of the second but UAlbany was unable to take advantage of the third-base runner.
- Both teams totaled a hit in the third - Maranda Jimenez hit a single to right-center for the Great Danes.
- UAlbany compiled three-straight outs in the top of the fourth.
- The Black Knights took a 5-2 lead in the fifth inning.
- The Great Danes' defense went 1-2-3 in the sixth for a quick top half.
- Sierra Fretz got on base with a single but UAlbany was unable to take advantage of the base runner.
- Leaving an Army runner on base, the Great Danes headed to the dugout for their final turn at-bat.
- Sophomore Caroline Srokowski pinch hit for Christie Collins and got on base before Mitros hit a single to get a second runner on base.
- Morgan Petty singled to left field to drive in a run after Collins scored on a throw to attempt to get Phillips out at first.
- Down by just one run, Falotico tallied her single RBI of game two and stayed on base.
- With two base runners, Petrella notched a walk-off homer, hitting the ball over the center-field fence to guarantee the Great Danes an 8-5 victory.
NEXT: The Great Danes will continue at home, hosting Maine for a three-game conference series April 9-10.
