GAME ONE
 
SCORE: UAlbany 8, CCSU 1
 
KEY STATS

• Maddi Petrella and Caitlyn Frederick went 2-3 from the plate to lead the Great Danes.
• Katie Falotico, Morgan Petty, and Katie Falotico all led with two RBI each.
• Petty tallied a team-high two runs.
• Overall, the Great Danes tallied four doubles, each from a different batter - Caroline Srokowski, Petty, Falotico, C. Frederick.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Great Danes jumped to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning with a single from Petrella and a sac fly from Katie Falotico.
• The Blue Devils scored their lone run in the third inning to close the lead to two runs.
• UAlbany had base runners score in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings.
• Caitlyn Frederick notched a double to drive in Hammond in the fourth while Drumgole and Falotico added an RBI each as Petty and Drumgole scored in the fifth.
• Frederick and Caitlyn Mitros tallied the Great Danes' final runs of the first game to take the 8-1 lead in the top of the sixth.

KEY STATS

• Maddi Petrella and Sierra Fretz led the team batting .750 (3-4).
• Three Great Danes - Petrella, Fretz, and Ossman - each totaled three RBI while five Great Danes - Caitlyn Mitros, Alexis Phillips, Caroline Srokowski, Fretz, and Ossman - all notched two runs to lead the team.
• In the circle, Kate Powers pitched four innings with five strikeouts and three earned runs. Maranda Jimenez earned the win in two innings with one strikeout and one earned run.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Blue Devils tallied the first runs of the second game, taking a 2-0 lead after the first inning.
• Sierra Fretz and Schuyler Ossman tied the score with an RBI each in the second inning but CCSU grabbed the lead once more with a home run in the bottom of the third.
• The Great Danes notched their first lead of the second game in the fifth inning after Caitlyn Mitros and Alexis Phillips scored.
• After a second Blue Devil homer, the score was tied once again, 4-4, in the bottom of the fifth.
• UAlbany totaled seven hits and 10 runs in the sixth inning to end the game on the run rule as a Great Dane victory, 14-4.
