- UAlbany dropped the first set and never led after taking a 1-0 lead.
- In set two, Stony Brook started with a 5-1 lead before the Great Danes rattled off a 10-1 run. However, Stony Brook put together an eventual 9-1 run themselves and won the set 25-20.
- In the third and fourth set, the Great Danes stormed back with two wins and forced a decisive fifth set.
- In the fifth set, Stony Brook took a 5-2 lead but UAlbany came back to tie 6-6. Trailing 7-6, UAlbany put together a 6-1 run. Stony Brook was able to tie the set at 12 before UAlbany pulled away and won 15-13 and completed the comeback.
- Kamara Kelly had a team-high 17 kills, followed by Regan Wright (15) and Danielle Tedesco (15)
- Malea Stanton (29) and Andersen Vaughan (20) each topped the 20-assist plateau
- Charlotte Macken had a match-high 19 digs and was accompanied by four teammates with double-digit digs
- Stony Brook freshman Torri Henry set a career-high with 53 assists
