Vestal, N.Y. - Jessica Bump drove in the winning run on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth inning, leading Binghamton to a 4-3 win over UAlbany in America East Conference softball action on Sunday afternoon at East Gym Field. The game concluded the weekend series between the two teams and marked the second extra-inning game over the weekend.

Stephanie DeLuca singled to start off the bottom of the eighth inning and was replaced by pinch runner Briana Andrews on the base path. Anna Blessing doubled down the left field line, sending Andrews to third base, setting the stage for Bump, whose fly ball into right field was deep enough to allow Andrews to score the winning run.

DeLuca and Andrews each homered earlier in the game. DeLuca's solo shot in the fourth inning tied the game at 1-1 and Blessing's two-run homer in the sixth put Binghamton up 3-1. The Great Danes, who scored first in the game on an RBI double by Gina Mason, tied the game at 3-3 in the top of the seventh inning on a two-run long ball by Andrianna Walraven.

Brittany MacFawn tossed a complete game and was tagged with the loss, despite issuing eight strikeouts in seven and a third innings. Binghamton (13-11, AE 4-2) pitcher Rhoda Marsteller earned the win in the circle, retiring the side in the eighth.

UAlbany (12-18, AE 5-1) will return to action on Tuesday, hosting Cornell in a rescheduled doubleheader at 3:30 at Albany Field.
