Montez and Cashman coached two top-five finishers at the MAAC Tournament that year in Lucia Esteban (T2) and Katelin Richards (T4). The team would go on to compete in the program's fourth NCAA Tournemant appearance, drawing a selection to the Auburn Regional at the Auburn University Club in Alabama.

Spending some time away from the college athletic world in 2020-22, Montez remained in golf. After serving as the Director of Marketing for Golf Performance Lab, he comes to New York State with marketing and social media experience.
