How it Happened:
- Ryan Pittz was given the nod by the Great Danes to start. The Black Knights gave Trevor Finan the start.
- UAlbany opened the scoring in the second inning. After back-to-back singles by Mike Prisco and Cooper Loyal, Thomas McElwee loaded the bases by drawing a walk. With two outs, Luke Myers cleared the bases with a double to the right field wall, giving the Great Danes a 3-0 advantage.
- Robbie Penswick was brought in to start the third inning for Army.
- UAlbany brought in Michael DiMartino from the pen for the bottom of the fourth.
- Getting the first two batters on base, the Black Knights drove in a run with a sac fly by Justin Lehman, making it 3-1.
- Army continued to chip away at the difference with Derek Berg hitting a solo shot in the fifth to make it a one-run game.
- The Great Danes called Cam Fuer from the bullpen in the sixth inning.
- With a runner on second, Lehman hit a triple to right center, leveling the score at 3-3.
- Kyle McCaffrey came in to pitch for UAlbany with two outs and bases loaded.
- Berg earned a walk to bring in another run and take a 4-3 lead for Army.
- Army brought in Trey Ates to pitch in the seventh with a runner on second.
- Steven Turk was brought in to pitch by UAlbany for the eighth inning.
- Loading the bases in the eighth, the Black Knights drove in a run with a Sam Ruta single. Braden Golinski slugged in another three with a bases-clearing double in the gap. Golinski scored on a Coleson Titus double, pushing the score to 9-3.
- The Black Knights brought Joel Rubin to close in the ninth inning.
- With two runners in scoring position, Myers hit a sacrifice fly to right field to score McElwee, making it 9-4.
- Army held on to win the midweek matchup, 9-4.
