SHORT STORY: A scoreless game for four innings, the Great Dane offense blossomed in the fifth inning before taking a shutout victory over two-seeded Binghamton, Thursday.

- Maddi Petrella tied Nastos with two hits - the first and second hits of the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Great Dane defense started the game with three-straight outs in the bottom of the first.
- Maddi Petrella opened the second inning with a leadoff single for the first hit of the contest.
- UAlbany tallied three-straight outs for the second time to close the third inning.
- Sending the ball to center field, Petrella went 2-2 with her second single of the game in the top of the fourth.
- The Great Dane defense goes 1-2-3 for the second-straight inning to close the fourth.
- UAlbany's offense opens up in the top of the fifth with three runs.
- Chloe Lewis opened the inning with a leadoff home run right in the middle of center field.
- After Kasey Conn got on base with a single to left field, Jordan Nastos sent the ball over the right-field fence for a two-run homer.
- For the fourth and fifth times, the Great Dane defense tallied three-straight outs in both the fifth and sixth innings.
- Deanna Grahek opened the final inning with a single through the left side.
- With two runners in scoring position (Grahek on third and Mitros on second), Jordan Nastos doubled to left field for two RBI.
- After making it to third base while Morgan Petty made it on base with an error, Nastos and Petty pulled off a double steal for the sixth, and final, run of the game.
- The UAlbany defense tallied three-straight outs, including a diving catch from Mitros, to secure the shutout victory, 6-0.
