Short Story:Â The University at Albany baseball team tied up its three-game series with Stony Brook, taking down the Seawolves 5-3. The Great Danes showed a strong performance on the mound, allowing just three runs while combining for eleven strikeouts.
John Daly drove in two runs for UAlbany, highlighted by a solo shot over the center field wall in the fourth.

How it Happened:
- Cregg Scherrer started on the mound for the Great Danes, Brandon Lashley started for the Seawolves.
- UAlbany struck first in the top of the second, taking a 2-0 lead. John Daly tripled to right-center to score Will Binder who walked to get on base and Chris Fisher drove in Daly with an RBI single to right field.
- Stony Brook tied up the game in the bottom of the same inning when Cole Durkan hit a two-run home run to right field, also scoring Stanton Leuthner.
- Daly took back the lead for the Great Danes on a solo home run to center field in the top of the fourth.
- Stony Brook tied things up at three in the bottom of the fourth when Brett Paulsen singled to second base, scoring Shane Paradine.
- Colton Book replaced Lashley on the mound midway through the fifth.
- The Great Danes took their third lead of the day in the top of the seventh. Will Feil doubled to center field, scoring pinch hitter Josh Loeffler and Brad Malm hit another RBI double to bring home Feil, making it 5-3 in favor of UAlbany.
- Connor Eisenmann took over the mound for the Great Danes to start the seventh.
- Chase Carroll came in to pitch halfway through the ninth to secure the win for UAlbany.
