KEY STATS

• Four players led with two RBIs - junior Caitlyn Mitros, junior Morgan Petty, junior Maddi Petrella, and junior Schuyler Ossman.
• Three Great Danes hit a double - Mitros, Petrella, and junior Emma Adams.
• Senior Maranda Jimenez notched a lone double play when catching a pop fly and tagging a base runner.
• As a team, UAlbany tallied 12 hits.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Great Danes opened the game with three straight singles from Mitros, Petty, and graduate student Katie Falotico.
• Petrella notched the first double, driving in the second and third UAlbany runs in the first inning.
• Despite the Colonials hitting a single with their leadoff batter in the bottom of the first, a double play from Jimenez held them to just three batters.
• Robert Morris took a 5-4 lead with a home run in the second inning.
• The lead switched twice in the third inning. Both the Great Danes and the Colonials totaled four runs as RMU held on to the lead, 9-8, headed into the fourth.
• Neither team added a run in the fourth with the Great Danes tallying a 1-2-3 inning from the field.
• The Colonials extended their lead with five runs in the fifth.
• Unable to answer with runs, the Great Danes tallied three-straight outs in the bottom of the sixth.
• Attempting the comeback, UAlbany scored four runs in the final inning but a pitcher change led to three-straight outs to close the inning and the game with a Robert Morris win, 14-12.

 
NEXT: The Great Danes will return to action at the Spring Games on March 4-6.
