Short Story: The University at Albany softball team dropped both games of a doubleheader against Mount St. Mary's. The Great Danes fall to 2-2 on the season after the first day of three-consecutive doubleheaders.
Coach Chris Cannata: "Today we made too many defensive mistakes to win a game. Tomorrow we hope to come back stronger, fix those mistakes, and win some games."

- UAlbany got its first run of the afternoon off a single from Wendi Hammond in the fourth, scoring Madison Petrella.
- The Mount added two runs in the fourth to increase the lead to 7-1.
- Barkevich and Alexis Frederick both picked up RBI singles in the fifth to get UAlbany within four runs.
- Three runs were added for Mount St. Mary's on a bases-clearing double in the sixth.
How it Happened Game Two:
- Mount St. Mary's struck first with an RBI single in the first.
- Barkevich tied the game in the second inning with a home run to right, building off the momentum generated from earlier in the week.
- After the Mountaineers re-took the lead in the bottom half of the second, the Great Danes jumped ahead for their first lead of the afternoon (3-2) in the third after a home run from Morgan Petty and an RBI single from Petrealla.
- Mount Saint Mary's would eventually tie the game in the fourth before using a three-run fifth inning to take the lead for good.
