Coach Howard: "We couldn't have asked for much more from our players after our last result. It was really important that we continued to implement the things we have been discussing as a group: the style of play, the system of play, and getting to know one another as players, over the past month or so. To see players put that into practice in today's game, and to get a result out of it was something we're really happy about as a group."

How it Happened
Â
- UAlbany played at home Saturday for the first time since the 2019 semifinal against Hartford. They hosted America East opponent Maine in a non-conference matchup. It was head coach Leigh Howard's first home game on the UAlbany sidelines since being hired February 19, 2020.
- In the 28th minute, Sahara Zingano found Jasmine Colbert for UAlbany's first goal, and Colbert's first goal of the season.
- Not to be outdone, Jasmine's twin sister Jada, notched her first goal of the season in the 85th minute to put UAlbany up 2-0 and secure the victory. Christina Cernuto set up Jada's goal.
- Sophia Chen, making her first start of the season, secured her sixth-career shutout, after recording five in 2015. She was tested on just two of Maine's 10 shots.
- Since the start of the 2015 season, the year of the program's first America East title, UAlbany is 32-10-4 at Casey Stadium, with Saturday's victory.
